Welcome to FARMGATE Notes with Dr. Waito

I’ve been thinking about writing something like this for a while.

Every day, I’m out on farms, in barns, on calls — seeing what’s working, what’s not, and where small changes make a big difference.

I hear good ideas. I see great products.

I learn things (sometimes the hard way). And most of that never gets shared beyond the next conversation.

So this is my way of changing that.

This newsletter is going to be simple:

  • Short (under a minute)

  • Practical

  • Worth your time

Each one will include something useful — an idea, a product, a case, or something I’m thinking about — and usually a link if you want to go deeper.

No fluff.

No wasted time.

What you can expect:

  • Things I’m seeing right now in the field

  • Tools or products that are actually working

  • Quick lessons from real cases

  • Thoughts on herd health, efficiency, and profitability

  • The occasional mistake (so you don’t have to make it)

This isn’t meant to replace conversations — it’s meant to start better ones.

If something here hits home, sparks a question, or you want to try something on your farm, reach out.

That’s the whole point.

I’m building this around the same philosophy we use at Miller Vet:

Good medicine + strong relationships = better outcomes.

Thanks for being here.
